Setting the Standard
Our breeding dogs all have hip, eye and elbow clearances. Temperament is
extremely important to us, and we will not breed a dog that has temperament
problems. Our focus is on obedience and hunting ability, however we, like
all good breeders, plan our breedings to produce dogs that conform with the
breed standard.
The Three Dog Rule
Our kennel rule is to have no more than three dogs living with us at a
time. Because we do not sell our breeding dogs, and also since we use our
own kennel as a source for our breeding dogs, we normally have grandma, mom and
daughter dogs. This also limits the number of breedings that we do.
Meet our Dogs
Currently, we have no breeding
stock available. Our founding bitch, Jenny, was spayed following her previous
litter due to complications. We kept a female pup from the breeding -
Pacific Crest Whitney Summit, C.D. Whitney was 2 years old in June of
2004. Unfortunately, Whitney did not receive her clearances for hip soundness, so she will
not be bred.
In June of 2004, we purchased a male Golden Retreiver puppy with a
stong show pedigree. Regency Rock Shop, "Jasper", is our first
conformation dog, and as a puppy, with limited showing, has already
pointed. He will be campaigned with handler Mike Stone starting this
fall. He is a handsome dog, and we are hopeful to get him finished
in 2006.
