How we Do Things

Pacific Crest Goldens stand behind its puppies with support and responsibility that extends beyond the puppy sale.  Owning a dog is a large responsibility, and we take care to place puppies in homes that understand their part in maintaining a happy and healthy relationship within the family.

Before going further, please read the following warning. Do not buy a Golden Retriever from us unless you are willing to take the effort to make the dog part of your family. Do not buy a Golden Retriever if you do not have the time, space or money to provide for its needs.

General Terms

Pacific Crest Goldens Will

  • Sell puppies only with Spay/Neuter or Limited Registration rights.
  • Welcome and require the return of unwanted puppies or dogs.
  • Provide a full-refund 72-hour health guarantee, giving you time to have the puppy checked by your own vet.
  • Supply you with health and registration documentation.
  • Supply you with puppy food and care instructions.
  • Suppy you with a copy of "The Art of Raising a Puppy."

Pacific Crest Goldens Warrants

  • That the puppy has been cared for and socialized with a high level of care and attention.
  • That the puppy shows sound temperament.
  • That the puppy has been examined by a veterinarian and has been found to be in a healthy condition.
  • That the puppy has been vaccinated and wormed as recommended by a veterinarian.

The Prospective Owner Will

  • Agree to and abide by the terms and conditions of the sales contract.
  • Provide for the health care of the dog with yearly check ups and vaccinations specified by a veterinarian.
  • House the dog in a clean, dry, quiet area of adequate size, and to provide for the exercise and mental health of the dog.
  • Provide for the proper socialization of the dog with humans and other dogs, through frequent contact and training.
  • Notify Pacific Crest Goldens of any health or heriditary problems that may emerge.
  • Notify Pacific Crest Goldens of any certificate or title that the dog may receive.
  • Return the dog to Pacific Crest Goldens should the dog be given up for any reasons.
